The hudson ravenswood deluxe mandolin is factory fitted with a piezo pickup for live performance and recording. It can also be played acoustically like a conventional mandolin. Featuring an arched solid spruce sound board and solid highly flamed maple arched back and flame maple sides. A perfect combination of tone woods. For the player looking for a superior quality mandolin, look no further. The hudson ravenswood deluxe mandolin is an oval sound hole design with a traditional scroll and edge bound body. The lacquer finish is a translucent black burst which complements the select woods used beautifully.
The carefully profiled neck is made from maple and has a fully adjustable truss rod. The rosewood fingerboard is edge bound and has ornate position markers. Careful attention had been paid to the fretting and string spacing for optimum playing comfort. The styled headstock is again edge bound with an abalone torch inlay and inlayed hudson logo. This combination of tone woods will impress even the most discerning player. Completely hand crafted, the ultimate mandolin for sweet tone and projection.
This is a traditional f hole mandolin with cutaway for access to the higher frets and a convenient elevated black three ply pick guard. The carved solid spruce top and carved solid maple back will also mature sonically with age. The more you play it the better it will sound! The flaming on the back and sides is simply stunning.
A real rosewood adjustable floating bridge allows you to easily set the playing action (string height) to suite your style. The top nut is expertly cut and the strings run to a set of gold engraved tuning machine heads. The tail piece is also gold plated and engraved and has a removable cover for easy string access.
